The louvers cost $149.00 If you want them pre-painted, add another $139. I chose the prepainted, however, if one knows a good painter, it would be wise to do it at home.
I did not install them. I paid 120 for the task. If you go to the Silverhorse Racing website, you can download the instructions for the complete job. Way too difficult for me, I think it can be done by someone who has tools and big ones!! LOL!!
The glass installer took about 2 hours, he knew what he was doing and was very good at getting everything back to place.
So, for about $450.00 (WTF??!!) One can be the first on the block to stand out from all the taped on options out there. IMO, worth every cent.
That looks VEEEERY cool. I wasn't sure what you were describing over the phone, but man that looks sweet.
Tony
Thanks Tony:
You did your job and got it home by Friday!
You know, the part did not even got to the foyer. My son and I jumped out of the car when we got home and saw the box sticking out of the mailbox. We clicked on the button and before the garage door was fully opened, we were tearing into the box.
thanks for the info and once again they really do look great. you kinda sounded like you werent too happy with the pre-painted option.... how did it come out?
From my past experience with having an auto body shop paint louvers i know they dont take the time to prep them properly and really dont put as much effort into doing a good job on such a small part. Thats just my experience though. I was hoping these pre-painted ones would be done well.

The paint quality was fine, I still claybared them and Zainoed them before install.
I think the paint is a little darker than the rest of the car. Maybe because the entire car has three coats of clear and the difference is dephth perception. Since I already installed the louvers, it is going to be a greater effort to clear-coat the parts. I should have noticed before instal...Live and learn.
BTW: Check out the Mustang Club of Houston website to see all the cars that participated. You will see two pics of my car in the event gallery. It feels great to be unique among fellow modders...
not only do these look good but the fit is perfect as well
