It has officially started, modding is a disease and I need help! I've had my car for two years and did absolutely no modifications to it, except for the MagnaFlow mufflers I bought shortly after I purchased the car, until a few months ago.
Eibach springs, Bullit style 18" rims, Nittos, hurst shifter and a K&N CAI later, here comes the big stuff.
I ordered the FRPP 4.30 rear end gears tonight, later this week, Brenspeed is about to get a ton of money that I really shouldn't be spending. SCT Tune, electric water pump, Kooks LT & high flow cats, BBK TB, and possibly the Stage 3 Comp cams.
Wow 4.30s are a little steep. You'll be able to use 2nd gear to pull out from a stop if you have a stick. As for the mods syndrome the only known cure is......

That is a lot of gear... Not going to be really street friendly and your highway rpms are going to be way up there. Also, save your $ on the throttle body. Not worth the investment.

I can almost start from 2nd with the stock 3.55s
I did the calculations for how drastically the 4.30 gears would affect highway driving.
Right now, at 70Mph, I tach at 2100 rpm in 5th gear. I have a total diameter tire size of 27", the stock Mustang 5 speed manual transmission has a final drive ratio of .68.
Taking this info and calculating wheel speed, at 70mph with 4.30 gears, my engine RPMs should be around 2600, that's acceptable.
Thankfully, this is my play car, so I don't have to drive it every day.

Sometimes I wish I had gone with 4.30s, but the 4.10s are working well with my combo now.

If this wasn't my daily driver, I'd have 4.88s in there!!

Hell I installed 5.14s in my maverick. It had a 9" and I drove it daily. Well about 4 miles to work and back.
LOL...
I couldn't go any higher than 4.88s right now. I'd be close to running out of gear in the 1/8.
