I had my Tint done last tuesday and asked the guy about stripes, Pretty much told me to never do that to my car..... We do them, but you dont want anything like that on "your" car..wanted to ask him why I shouldnt ,but didnt want to get into it with him.

Tint turned out sweet though

Ah don't lissen to him. If you like stripes and want them then just get them. Its your car. There are a lot of choises out there and just do the research to what you want.

How much was it to paint on racing stripes?

Mine were $2,000 including the paint/install for the hood scoop and paint/install of the mirrow covers. Couldve gotten it done for slightly less from shops i had had no experince with but wanted the guys that painted other cars for me before to do it. Check around but let me tell ya........you get what you pay for! Brent

So far, mine are costing right around $1500. However, part of that $1500 also included prepping, painting and installing the hood itself. I had the stripes on the hood painted at the time I got the hood, and then the hood itself needed prepping, painting and installing. I am having the rear painted now.

Typically speaking, you can expect to pay between $1500 and $2000 to have stripes painted on (depending on what style of strieps you want).

My stripes and tint was $1290. But when I picked up the car my paint guy said he would not do that again for less than $2000.
