Default 05-08 Mustang GTS Ram Air Fiberglass Hood

Has anyone seen this hood from Mr BodyKits? This hood looks pretty cool. Looks like the old Shelby hoods. Does anyone know if the quality of his parts are any good. I'm not real familiar with his parts and have not heard anyone mention them before. I see his adds in the Mustang magazines all the time.

Nice looking but I have to question why it's $399.

No, the price for the GTS Ram Air Fiberglass Hood is $599.00. You have to scroll down to almost the bottom of the page.

That sounds a bit more reasonable. Looks like a nice hood. Picture may be deceiving but it doesn't seem to fit quite right on the left--lot of gap and doesn't seem even accross the front.

I did kind of notice that as well. I wonder if it could have been aligned better or if it was just shabby work?

I was thinking of Cervini's C style ducktail spoiler from Mr. Bodykit. They want 199.99 for it while Cervini want 289.00. Thats a big difference in price. I was woundering if thats seconds of blems. Any ideas? I don't want to by a super low price to just spend extra on preping the parts.

That's the risk of buying a hood over the internet. You just don't know until it shows up at your door. Some companies seem better than others.

thats the hood i'm currently obsessed with...no one makes it yet and they all have the same pic with no underside details..i'll wait till some one gets one before i commit to buy..i think its definetly the hottest looking hood yet..it is modelled after the GT500HR hood...i just wonder if it will someday be a dealer part before we order thru one of these companies.

Have you seen the new Gt5000KR for 2008? It looks a lot like that hood.

Yeah that's a great looking hood...ala the 67/68 Shelbys. That, the GTR and California Dreaming hoods really look nice on these Mustangs.

It's also like the one offered by the Dream Car Factory, though I hear they're out of business. http://www.thedreamcarfactory.com/

Any fiberglass hood is going to require varying amounts of fit & finish work. Expect to pay between $500 - $1,000, for quality work...including paint.

Don't get too hung up on how a hood looks (fit) on another car. Any hood will require some adjustments.
