Default Need a Good Mustang Shop - Northern Virginia

Hello Mustang Brethren,

I'm in need of a good - no, great Mustang shop located anywhere in Northern Virginia, Stafford, VA or Washington D.C. area. Looking for someone who can tune my baby, install bolt-ons and reliably diagnose troubles, and provide smart recommendations for squeezing out rwhp and torque. Anybody know of such a shop?

Chris spent some extra time trying to get my auto to shift like I wanted it to but still wasn't quite right. it is now. But they will work with ya

also there is Springfield Motorsports not far from ya either but I haven't heard anybody say how they are...that shop has been there a long time though...has to very reputable shop.

I went back and read your sig and saw that you have Evo's tune....cant see where any shop can get it much better than that. I had Fred's tune when I was N/A and my car was a ton of fun! shifted very nice too as I see you have the auto tranny. then I went with the Saleen S/C and as said their tune for us auto guys sucked! Chris messed with the shift points and it was a whole lot better than Saleen's! but JDM's is just unreal car dosent run any better than the Excessive tune but it shift's like you wouldnt believe
you can see in my sig the 1/4 mile times....I need a set of DR's to get my ET lower but for the money i have spent .2 of the ET aint cutting it. and now I have to spend another 600 bucks to get a good ET...jeesh..it doest end..lol but eventually I hope to break the 11's!

EXCESSIVE all the way!!!

Like Mick said, Chris & Torey are the best. They were/are the only place I trust with my car. They were the ones that put the vortech on my 04 V6.

Not to badmouth anyone, but stay away from the other place Mick mentioned (SM ). Have heard many a bad story about them.

If you really want to get on Chris & Torey's good side, bring Donuts with you to the shop.

+1... Unless the car is throwing codes or going into failsafe, a dyno tune with just a CAI is really a waste of money unless you'te just looking for peace-of-mind.

Thanks y'all for the recs. I will give Excessive a call. I do like the Evolution tune, but am also considering pullies, throttle body and X pipe, and figure I'll need to tune after each mod. <is that true by the way?>

Thanks again.

no new tune needed for those mods and might as well save your money on the throttle body...stlwagon will chime in there. Id do the electric water pump(Mezeri) over the T/B. get ya a set of 4.10's talk about fun!

It doesn't look like my input is needed here, but I'd like to give another vote for Excessive. They installed my 4.10s and gave me a tune. Their customer service was top notch, and you'd swear the 4.10s came from the factory (no odd noises, whining, etc.) And now that I think about it, my avatar photo is of my car on their dyno.
