Can anyone describe how the rear window louvers are installed?
In a nutshell the Louver comes with little mount plates with a screw in the center.
The plates are glued to the window in position with 3M tape usually.
Then the louver is placed on the plates and little thumb nuts hold it in.
Takes 24 hours for the 3M tape to set.
I have the Astro-Hammond Aluminum rear louvers. The install is easy, the top is a clip and the sides are 2 on each side with small screws in the center. The clip to the edge of the rear window and have 3m tape on the back, also you need to put a small bead of clear silicon on the edges so the weather (rain) won't screw up the 3m tape.
Go to Amazon.com at times they are in stock for around $230 with free shipping. These are the Aluminum ones. They fit fine with no rattles.
They look great man. I want that for my stang but I haven't found any priced under 400 bucks and to me its not worth that much. 150-200 is a fair price but thats imo. Nice lookin stang man!
