FWIW, I had my C&L plumbed to my Shaker back in August 2005. And after the Kenne Bell supercharger went on in January 2006, I turned it into a "chimney", just to let cool air in (or hot air to escape) under the hood by cutting out the bottom of the scoop. Both worked great. Here are some pics of both setups. The first two are with the C&L. The last three are with the KB.

Those are awesome pictures Don & Allen Thank you so much for posting them! There's nothing like picture evidence stating it can be done. I really want to get the Shaker system with my C&L thanks to you, Allen and stl & thanks to everyone else who shared too. If anyone else has some pics or thoughts that would be great as well.
Later guys
Silly question: How do you remove the shaker scoop and plastic shroud that goes over the intake manifold? I plan on getting the JLT intake and mating it to the shaker system. My car came with the shaker already installed, so I'm not entirely sure how to remove it.

It's held in place by the top two throttle body bolts. You'll need to remove those and then it'll lift right off. If you get the JLT, plan on doing some cutting to widen the hole (to the right)

I had to Dremel the front of my Shaker to clear the JLT intake tube up front also.
I kinda cheated on the air intake to the filter, I used some aircraft ducting & eliminated the supplied Shaker 'elbow'. Doesn't look near as professional as what Mister Roper has done, but works for me. Plus it gives the air a straighter shot into the filter.
I like what you did with the heat shield. What is that piece you mounted on there? How does it tie in to the tubing?
These are the two pieces I used. I did have to trim 1" off of the MAF adapter and 1" off the top end of the Shaker elbow pipe to get everything to line up.

Thanks... That will make for a real clean looking install.

Not much. I took another cue from you and finally trimmed the Shaker cover. Now I don't have to yank it off when the car goes on the dyno and even if I did, it's much easier to take off now. The valve covers are going out for some powder-coat love this afternoon. Guess I better decide on a color/texture soon...

I just ordered the parts from PepBoys. $23 and free shipping. Thanks for the great solution!
That actually looks better than that flimsy, cheesy shroud. Did you cut it with a dremel?
Thanks, yes, I used a Dremel. Used some masking tape to mark off my lines and kept the beer in the fridge until afterwards. Cleaned it up with a file then used the trunk molding. That reminds me, I need to pull the CDC plate off and see if I can remove the door jam covers before it goes to the dump like the box that held my stock front & Roush rear springs accidentally did. Cool, I have something to do while I wait for the FedEx guy...

Nice job Mister Roper, the shroud is the only part I don't like about the newer Shaker scoops.
Looks good! Hope you don't mind me copying your idea!
