BEST: JLT II CAI w/ SCT Tuner. Night and day difference.
GOOD: SLP LM's. I love the sound, the neighbors don't. CMCP Delete was pretty good too.
BAD: Motive 4.10's. There isn't anything wrong with these gears, but I think shops try to install them like any other gear and that's what causes the whine. They have to be installed differently. They work AWESOME, but I hate the whine.
COMING SOON: FRPP 4.10's, UDP's, the jury is still out on a catted/off-road X-pipe b/c of LM's. Neighbors will go !!!!
Hey do any of you have Superchargers you can talk about? I would love to hear about your thoughts on that + whatever else you guys/gals have on your Stangs. Any Heads & Cam (H/C) setups? Anybody with Turbo kits? NOS?
These are all things we would love to hear about ontop of whatever other mods you have done. Any type of mod you have whether it be Painted A/C Vents, Tinted Windows, Performance, Braking, Suspension or whatever. This is a great thread to tell us about it, I'm trying like mad to get my brother to buy an 07' GT, he looking at 02-03' C5's but loves my Mustang. I want him to read this thread when it's all finished.
Thanks for the help everyone Keep it coming
I remember driving the first time following the install of my C&L Street CAI and tune from Brenspeed and wondered why it took me so long to invest in one, totally different car now and havent ever had it off the 87 octane tune,Might try the 89 and 92 someday? But so far i like all the money i spent and do not regret any of my mods. I did however just take off my hose covers as they were starting to turn in spots so i will eventually invest in some actual steel braided lines one day.I ony put my caps on for shows and store them so they dont turn, get scratched or fall off but other than the line covers turning i love all my mods.......and my MUSTANG GT! Brent
FRPP Strut Tower Brace: It does nothing that I can feel. Thought it would add more stability in cornering but I guess I was wrong.
Steeda Underdrive Pulleys: Thought that they would add some more power to the car, unfortunately the butt-o-meter didn't notice a difference. That was $200 down the toilet...
Unreliable Mods:
Saleen HID Headlights: After the one year warranty expired large burn patterns appeared in the reflectors. No, I didn't mod the lights! Saleen invited me to their Irvine facility so they could "investigate the problem" but ended up doing nothing, despite me wasting a vacation day to accomodate them. Needless to say I still have the burned headlights and a very negative opinion of Saleen.
"We'll See" Mods:
Factory NAV System: I get a weird error when switching over to map mode telling me to contact my dealer. Also, it sounds like crap driving the Shaker 1000 system.
That's it for now! Glad I didn't fall for the throttle body spacer scam...
Unless i were to go back in time, id probably get none of my performance mods(suspenson not included) and id be close to the money for a short block right about now

Well this mod is not really Mustang related or anything but it's one of the best things I could have ever gotten for the Mustang. It's the new TomTom One Navigation System. It has maps for all of the U.S, Canada, Mexico & Puerto Rico. It has live traffic reports, weather & over 8 million points of intrest. It has 6 different voices in every language. I have the Brittish female voice for mine this thing is amazing! I can't get lost I already tried Anyway, it was the best investment for me and I can use it on my truck If I go X-Country. What a great invention.
Anybody else have some mods they can talk about? Even if they were already mentioned thats ok, that just shows the mod is either liked or disliked and that can help us out. Thanks
The good: C&L CAI and SCT Tune from Brenspeed...best money spent! 20" staggered wheels and tires...definitely turns heads and takes mine a few steps above the crowd. UDPs...better low end feel. Saleen short throw...a little money that went a long ways IMO. Magnaflow mufflers...a deeper sound. Not much louder than stock at first but really opened up after a few miles. Not obnoxious, more exotic. CDC light bar...awesome look. Very clean and looks like a factory piece. The Bad: Not so much "bad" as frustrating was the "dream hood". Bought a copy of the RKSport version on e-bay and spent way too much time making it right. It looks great now that I invested the time, but I should have spent the extra $ for the RKSport version or waited longer for the Cervini hood that recently was released and used my time on better pursuits. The Ugly: None as of yet. This car is a modder's dream and there's a lot of products out there for it. Some I've seen are over the top IMO and could fit into this category. But, to each his own...make the car your's!
Next up...Tokico D-Specs!
I love my Rouse hood scoop and Flowmasters. and the Steeda strut brace works great to hold up insulation off of plemun cover.Great forum.I now know more than any Ford salespeople.Don't have any mods you guys complain about.Thinks guys.Saved me money.

"Regrets, I've had a few
But then again, too few to mention
I did what I had to do and saw it through without exemption
I planned each charted course, each careful step along the byway
And more, much more than this, I did it my way
Yes, there were times, I'm sure you knew
When I bit off more than I could chew
But through it all, when there was doubt
I ate it up and spit it out
I faced it all and I stood tall and did it my way"
=============================================
Actually, all the cosmetic modes worked out great.
Only performance mode made is a CAI

K&N CAI Pros:
Makes the car sound great.
Some power gains.
No tune required Cons:
None
SCT X-cal2 Pros:
Tune kicks butt Cons:
$$$
Magnapacks cat back system Pros:
Great sound
Fantastic looking tips Cons:
Slight drone (I like it!).
Had to put the car on a lift to get the pipes off
Had to get 3 sets from Magnaflow because first 2 were damaged.
Painted white stripes Pros:
Look fabulous. Cons:
More $$ than vinyl.
Drove my car off the dealer lot directly to the body shop and had to wait 5 days to get it back and start driving.
Saleen Short Throw Shift Adapter: Pros:
Shortens throws nicely.
Doesn't change the look of the stock interior Cons:
None.
Chrome spinners Pros:
Look great. Real old school look of the 60's Stangs.
Much better quality than plastic Ford spinners.
Can't fall off like the Ford spinners Cons:
Harder to install, had to pull off each wheel
More expensive than the plastic Ford spinners (but worth it!)
Ultimate pedals Pros:
Look great. Love the engraved pony.
Now I have the dead petal that Ford should have included. Cons:
Out of sight.
Expensive for the set (even with the TMS group buy)
Jet TBS Pros:
Supposed to have improved torque. Cons:
Maybe it did, maybe it didn't, but no hard proof either way
Trunk release button Pros:
Don't need remote to get into trunk
Cheap to do (got button from a junk yard) Cons:
None
