The pony and I are going to be on the highway a lot this summer going back and forth from Indiana to Pennsylvania. Well, I was thinking about getting something down the line that would keep the front end from getting scarred up on the highway. I was just going to use it on the long drives and take it off when I'm home. What do you think? Any brands to look at? (lebra, colgan, covercraft).

Stock as can be, just trying to reverse the damage the previous owner caused.

Personally, not for me. I did that once with my beloved 95 Cougar and got sick of it REAL quick. It is a real cumbersome task to take on and off. ESPECIALLY if you are trying to be careful. Dust and dirt could spell disaster for you. I wouldn't if I were you. Just do your best to stay a reasonable distance behind any vehicle. When you are passing, stay over to the left as far as possible to minimize the possible fallout. My opinion. I love your car and it would be a shame to hide it.

I have to agree with J. Dirt and dust with gather at the edges and act as an abrasive, leading to more work. Have you considered clear plastic proctection such as Xpel or 3M? It is a fairly steep initial investment, but it protects better than a bra, and you do not need to put it on and take it off!
+1 on the X-Pel/3M. That's what I'm looking at for my '07 GT (that's being built this week!!!)
It's not cheap, unless you do it yourself, but I'm not patient enough for that. I've talked with a few folks who have it and they all give it a thumbs up.
I would highly recommend against a standard bra. It probably does more damage than it prevents.

do NOT put a traditional bra on your car.the color underneath the bra will fade differently.the paint underneath your bra will scratch-the wind blows and will cause the cover to rub on your finish. DO put on the clear bra from 3M.It is a little steep of an investment, but not as much as a repaint. make sure to get the package that covers the bumper, hood, mirrors and fender-fronts.I have seen many paint jobs saved due to the clear bras.
pagan - you referring to the clear bra or regular bra?
The other thing you can do is get a bug deflector. You can mount it underneath your hood with the plastic push clips and or velcro, instead of screws so you can remove it at any time.
I did that to one of my cars, and it worked out well.
Regular bra as stated above, will collect dirt, dust, sand, and will then act like a piece of sandpaper on your paint.
