nght....I can gaurantee you that anybody going 70 in a 65 MPH zone would never get stopped. They would have to stop every car on the highway except for granny and/or pops out for a Sunday drive. Get real.

Kids think they are invincible. Eventually they learn that the way all those cool, hot racers learned how to race, was by crashing lots and lots of cars.

Some NASCAR guy said it best. "Oh well. Win some, crash some."

Mommy won't be happy when her Camry comes home in need of a new body kit b/c junior wanted to "drift" his mommy's FWD and learned why you don't see that on TV.

This'll make you feel better. Check out the last pic. Hoo wee. I died.
My car fell in a ditch (w/pics) - Houston-Imports.com

"My car fell in a ditch". "Fell"?

I frankly doubt you can "go a little fast" in that car.
Yeah, it goes from 45 in the town I was going from, to 60, to 70 and then back down when you start seeing "slow speed limit ahead" signs or something like that. It's like 35mph. They give you like a few miles to slow down before you hit the actual limit signs.

Also, I know not all young drivers are stupid, I was just mad. It really just irks me b/c I lost a classmate to a semi driver that didn't slow down from the 65 limit to the 35 intersection limit... he couldn't stop in time for the red light and t-boned his car and killed him and his whole family.

sorry to vent guys. I'm done.

I'm not goint to lose sleep over it. I just peed me off and I wanted to just vent and share the experience. If it was a flyby within a safe limit, that's fine, let them get themselves killed. But, when you're doing a retarded flyby at 90mph or so heading into a small town that I grew up in... that freaking makes me mad. whew, now I'm done.

I'm not sure if hes too mad about the flyby, just the part where they flip him off and talk sh!t to him at the light trying to be tough guys. That would get me in an uproar thats for sure, and Im sure thats what made Wally most mad. Correct me if I'm wrong. As for the speeding part, guess it was one of those things where you gotta be there to know what he means. I live by something like that only the speed limit is 50 and people generally cruise in the left lane doing 60 tops sometimes 65 and then out of no where with NO warning theres a stop light lol. I feel bad for someone coming in who doesn't know the area. I wouldn't stress though Wally they were probably just hatin on your car and mad b/c mom gyped them on their allowance so they are a week behind on saving up for a stang just like yours People are naturally jealous, especially kids like that.

Thats not a bad thing to do. Everyone needs a place to vent, although sometimes I hear these stories and it makes me aggrivated to see how people act. Theres a certain percentage of kids who just don't get it, I was there at one point. I straightened up a little bit, enough to know whats right and what my limits are. Not all ids get this before its too late, then they do it to the wrong person and someone takes it a step further then they did and seriously hurts those kids or vice versa. They'll learn someday, and who knows they might think back to you and say, wow what a d!ck I was that day.

The only thing it would have come down to would have been calling the police. I don't confront unless confronted. I do the same crap at work everyday. Unless there is a major medical emergency or one about happen, I just observe and report. But, I'm sure most ppl on this board have been mad and thought about doing something, like I did, but would never actually do it. To me, the roads are a not a damn playground. Ricer flybys are not something laugh about, it's something to report. They want to prove something, they can do it on the track. Thanks for the understanding, though.

Lots of comments here. Advice from an old man - act in haste, repent in leisure. You did the right thing. You took care of your car, maintained safe driving, vented apart from the situation so as not to accelerate the situation.
Someone asked me once what it was like to grow old. My answer might help you feel better. I told him about the expression that sometimes "the worm turns" meaning in a situation sometimes the bad guy gets his. Well, as you grow older you get to see it happen. Some day it will rain and the wind will blow and a tree will fall on their new car in the middle of the night - after they just washed it.
