I'm actually not lowered... I think to do it best you should do everything at once and get a good 4 wheel alignment.

It's a personal choice. I honestly don't have an issue with the stock height and I'm not into the slammed down look. Now with your 20" wheels, it might be a better look to get rid of some of the fenderwell gap.

I had to go lower because the blacked-out wheels (18's) looked ridiculous under bright yellow fenders with the huge stock gap. I've had no noise problems or rubbing, and no vibations at 110 mph, and tire wear is normal. However, the steering geometry definitely changed (huge amount of downforce with the lowered Roush spoiler). I want to raise it about .5".

Think I'll stick with power upgrades first and return to suspension later...

you can go to about 1.5 inches lower on springs alone (H&R, Eiback, Ford Racing are just a few..). Lower than that and you will need to start correcting things.... There are several complete kits available, depending on how low you want to go and how much you want to spend. Ford Racing, Eibach, American Muscle, Tire Rack, etc.. all sell all-inclusive kits.

The biggest problem of going too low on springs alone are tire wear and handling issues (bump-steer is the first thing you'll notice- that's when you hit a bump, bottom out the suspension, and the car goes where it wants, not where you want....)

Here's my former GT Redfire, before FRPP Handling Pkg and after...the gap in the wheel wells is pretty much gone and the handling was superb. I did have to get an adjustable pan hard bar and camber kit.
