I have the aluminum louvers originally offered by Classic Design Concepts. They mount to the rear window in the four corners using adhesive foam tape. I've never had them rattle or come loose. I think I paid something like $460 for them. They're hinged at the top, and each lower corner has a lock, so they can be lifted up to clean the window - a big plus. The nice thing about the aluminum windows is that from inside they're virtually invisible. I can hardly see them in the rear view window. The aluminum is definitely more expensive, but won't sag like the plastic, is easier to clean, and has more visibility.

OK, so I've added a few things to it. Check my Profile - too many to list here.
I have the same ones myltlpny does and they look great. I may have to take them off because I didn't wait long enough for the adhesive to set up so they are starting to come off a little. I wouldn't want that flying off the back of my car on the interstate... lol.

Those louvers appear to be identical to the Astro-Hammond aluminum louvers, with a bit of a mark-up.
They're held on with 2 nuts per side, can be removed for cleaning the window, but NOT hinged.
You can buy them for much less, I've seen them advertised less @ Amazon.com. Not sure if they still have in stock.
The Astro-Hammond ones have 7 louvers, where the MRT/Visus ones have 6 louvers, but the MRT/Visus ones are hinged.
They all mount using pads & 3M tape.
I don't think they are the same. The aluminum louvers I got almost 2 years ago now have 6 louvers to it and is hinged at the top. This product appears to have 7 louvers to it so I'm guessing it is not the same.

Guys, I had a set of these back in the 80s on my Trans Am. I had the aluminum ones that were hinged and locked at the bottom. If you don't get them with a hinge, you will not be able to clean the rear window and it will look like crap in no time. I think the ones I had were also installed with tape...they were on there for years and never came loose. The plastic ones will sag like someone said, plus they are thicker and don't look as nice.

The newer Astro-Hammond ones do indeed have 7 louvers, The ones I have & I'm guessing the same you have are only 6 louvers. Mine are made by Visus & marketed by MRT.
Check out the new saleen heritage mustangs. They will available to the public soon as aftermarket and they look great. They are plastic and will not sag.
