Over the weekend I installed my Midwest Auto Gear radiator cover extensions and strut cap covers. I love the look they gave the engine bay. But a thought hit me about the strut cap covers. How do you remove them without breaking the mounting fingers?
Has anyone that has installed the Midwest strut cap covers removed them? If so, do you have any tips on how?
I don't plan on having to remove mine anytime soon but they will have to come off some day if for no other reason than to replace worn out struts.
Thanks

I could see another reason for removal...to clean. I am guessing that it is not an airtight seal, so dirt will accumulate in the crevis. Not that any here is anal about being clena, but it could be an issue. Interesting question though. I have the billet caps so I have never even thought of removing the MidWest caps.
Thanks. With some more thought pulling straight up is about the only choice you have.

I really like them. The paint match is great. I now have from Midwest the plenum cover, fuel rail covers, strut caps and radiator cover with the extensions all in body color.
I got the GT inserts on the strut caps and I think I'm going to try painting them to make them stand out more. Figure if I mess up it will be easy to paint them back black.
