I am still looking for a quality replacement shifter for my Auto Mustang. The stock plastic shifter just isn't cutting it.
Has ANYONE found anything?

i agree with STL. To my knowledge, there is no replacement shifter for the auto tranny of a S197. You can try adding a little chrome bezel to the round sides of the top of the handle. Or get what AC/DC has around the trim to make it a little flashier. But thats about it.
I cannot believe no one is building a replacement.
You can buy a billion different hood prop rods but not a shifter in site.
I am thinking of modifying one of the Sport Shifters to fit.

Sorry guys... I had only seen it in passing through the site looking for the Hurst Comp/Plus. With me having a standard, I wasn't paying attention to what the automatic shifter cost.
And GT08... He has the "Clutch Delete Option," he just wants to replace the shoddy, plastic, stock automatic shifter to a fancier one.

I'm pissed at them, the 2008 are out and they've had 3 full model years to come up with SOMETHING else!
