i would have been dissapointed as well.it all depends on the dyno and other factors as well as mentioned.although it was cool,so idk what could have been the factor here.mine dynoed 271.6/295 completely stock on premium gas.i dont know the exact humidity but i know it was almost an 80 degree day.it was in kansas city so im sure the humidity was at least decent..id get those numbers checked out though

What does the butt dyno say? Numbers really dont mean much and every dyno is different. I would have thought you had about 280+ RWHP but maybe the tune can be changed with a nice custom dyno tune!

You might have a little oil on your MAF sensor. Get yourself some CRC MAF Sensor Cleaner, pull the sensor and give it s good spraying. Make sure it's dry before reinstalling.

The oil on the K&N filters can sometimes contaminate the MAF sensor. You can get CRC cleaner at Autozone. The MAF sensor is in the intake tube (after the airbox). It has a wire harness attached to it. You'll need a torx bit screwdriver to remove the two screws. Once it's out, you'll see a small square opening on the side. Spray that really good and let air dry. Make sure you reinstall with that square opening pointed toward the airbox.

Well, maybe this is pretty ignorant but...

I have seen mention of a "91 octane tune" and "93 octane tune", etc.

In my owners manual it says do not use high octane gas because it could damage the motor.

Would there be any benefit to getting a "91+ octane tune" on a 100% stock GT and running the higher octane gas? Would it really damage the engine to use 91+ octane?

good question vulcan420 i think we should have more info on stuff like this.just like i would also like to see more infor on.the long term pros and cons fo running tunes and mods to cars running completly stock.i am running 93 with race, 93 perf,93torqe tunes.but still somtimes wonder if i am doing damage to my motor tranny etc.but i think my 2 cents which is not worth much thing ford puts in the onwer manual to only run regualr is to make the cost of owner ship stay down.but i could be way wroung.

If the PCM is properly tuned for the higher octane, there is no risk of any damage.
