Default Installed my Pypes Violators Yesterday

Thanks for all the help.

I installed my Violators yesterday. I did not need to jack the car up, but it would have made it easier. One side needed slight adjustment to center in the cutout of the bumper. The polished tanks look great, the sound is really good, deeper than stock, but not a lot louder than stock at idle. Perhaps the SLP's are for me. They gurgle and sputter when revving, but in a good way, not fart-can sound. They also gurgle when the RPM"s drop when driving, very nice. Cabin sound is not an issue, they sound good, there is some drone or vibration in 5th gear, but if that's drone, well I guess I like drone, cause it sounds good. I can see the MPG go down considerably with these axlebacks, becuase you can't help but use the go pedal.

In any event they are very good, would have liked them a bit louder, perhaps a H pipe is in my future. for $240 at my door, I am pleased.

If you aren't planning on getting headers, the SLP's and a H are a good combo. They are a bit too loud with headers. The Violators are pretty good with headers IMO.

Good job on the install. Glad you didn't have fitment issues like I did.

Great CJL, just remember they will get louder as they break in. I have noticed that first hand. It isn't huge but it is louder now. I am thinking about adding an H in my future as well. Headers are just too much money. Can't see spending 2000 for headers, mid pipe and install.

As StangMe said they will break in. My GTAs are louder then when I installed them.

I would not say no fitment issues, I noticed the one side is just a bit lower than the other and a little more to one side, not bad, but not dead center, I may mess with over-axle pipe to correct in the near future.

Congrats on the mod. They are nice axlebacks. If you want louder , a different mid-pipe will do it. I think some members have run both the H and X with the violators, and can give you some good imput.
