steeda underdrive pulleys, CAI either BBK or C&L w/ a sct tuner. from brenspeed or Bamachips. Full exhaust w/ LT headers. Electric H20 pump. Control motion delete plates. Those are most of the bangs for the buck
4.10 gears would be a good start too but they don't really add power it just makes your car pull like a bat out of hell

UDP I feel are a waste of money they only free up about 5hp they do not give you any additional power. You can free up weight by doing suspension mods and which will make your car go faster and handle better.

Lower Control Arms, Upper Control Arms are great as well.

JLT Intake is probably your best bet with SCT i would get a custom tune on a dyno to safely monitor your AFR to get the best numbers.

Gears will give you a great response as well.

Control Mostion Delete Plates are decent and so are LT's but not really needed unless you are forced induction there are other of plenty mods that you can do that will give you a better response in the way your car drives.

When I was looking for my Mustang at the Ford dealer, there was a GT with a Boss appearance/performance package. It had a CAI on it, but my wife didn't like anything about the Boss (i.e. color, wheels, scoops, etc... ).

Standing beside the Boss, was a GT500C (Cobra appearance package, performance exhaust, Hurst Short Throw Shifter, etc...). The salesperson told me he would have a CAI installed if I would buy it that day (my wife told me I was going to anyway). I bought it, and "Ford" put on an AIRAID CAI.

I don't know if anything else was done (retune, whatever...), but it runs like a bat out of H#LL.

Personally, I'd go with the AIRAID! If it's good enough for Ford, it's good enough for me!!!

GT500C?? have any pics of it? How much did you pay for it as well.

I would still stick to JLT or Tunable Inductions is what I had when my car was NA both of them seem to have the best numbers and looks. The JLT with Flames is just way to sick to pass up

'bout $38K.

I originally was going to buy the "full blown" Shelby GT500, but that dealer wanted an additional $25K "Market Adjustment." ...so about $72K

I switched dealers to get this one. I love it!

very clean, I cant believe dealers are still trying to get that much when you can go on ebay and get one for like 53,000

38k thats still a pretty good mark up though from 27,500. Any one know how much the GT500 body kit costs? And how much wiring it is to install one? 10k for a body kit axle backs and a shifter? any thing different in the interior?

Huhh...??

I have almost every suspension part there is and I'm pretty sure NONE is lighter than stock!?!
UDPs work great, yes, you'll only show 5-10 on the dyno but the quicker revving in all gears (not fourth on the dyno), especialy the lower makes it worth while! If you're not super charging anytime soon...??

JLT with any tune/r is great. I like the Ti units and tunes (by SCT themselves!) Best bang for the buck! Ti-> News

Custom tune is always better but for a CAI alone the canned tune is safe (especially from SCT/Ti) and will give you ~95% of the power available.

Gears are awesome... but just above you say UDP give you no more power... gears does???

CMDPs are good... not one of my first mods for a 'clean' car, but good...
After CAI/tune (and maybe gears (fun factor)) what mod other than LT's will give you more power/fun??

Not flaming, more curious as I found 'errors' in the whole post... and I will add I have been wrong before...???

Regards,

BMR Makes a weight reduction kit that can reduce your cars weight by 119lbs not all of them are true suspension parts but would make a bigger difference in the long run the UDP's

I have never seen a dyno increase with UDP's either I would love to see one though. From what I am away of they only free up horse power not increase horse power.

For the tune they are good tunes but i personally believe nothing can beat a custom tune were your car is being monitored to ensure safety for the maximum horse power. I like to know what my AFR is as well when any one does any type of tuning to my car. Every car is different and not all of them tune identical to each other. Different qualities to gas or weather can make slight changes to a tune as well. I prefer my car to be precise not close to.

Yes, that kit includes removing the sway bars, changing the radiator suprt etc...

My UDP's (while NA) made 7 RWHP and the rev willingness (acceleration) changed to the positive!

I agree, a custome tune is better. Most canned tunes are good and SAFE! Me too wanna know my A/F but with a CAI only a new modder can feel safe and ahppy with a canned tune!

see in my opinion I like to mod for the future.

i new i wanted an SC but just couldn't get one at the time. but i knew one day i would get one. So I wanted to make sure that every mod I got would go towards building my car around a SC.

Well there was a few mods that I couldn't keep ie CAI and Strut tower brace due to the location of the intake.

Im not sure how much UDP's are but I would rather save around 150$ then having to find a way to sale them in the future. That 150 can go to a dyno tune or the installation for gears.

Yes it freed up 7rwhp during acceleration it didn't make your car gain 7RWHP though it just freed it up for acceleration. Like you did not go from 300rwhp to 308rwhp it just freed up horse power in the rev of the lower RPM's correct?

All jjjferro asked about a CAI and tune advice. You guys will infect him with the mod virus. I prefer the C&L Racer with a Tillman Speed tune. good price and even better service.
