Default What tuner wouold you suggest?

Ok so Ive got an 06 V6 Pony with K&N CAI and Magnaflow dual exhaust w Ypipe. What tuner and tune would you guys suggest I buy to get the most out of these add ons? Bare in mind Ive never owned or used a hand held tuner before. Although I hear they are pretty straight forward. Thanks.

I would consider one of the SCT handhelds. May want to look at an email tune from BRENSPEED, BBK BMR SCT STEEDA MAC PYPES SLP MUSTANG PERFORMANCE PARTS.

Hey wagon..how necessary do you think a tuner is? And would it make a difference from the old way of tuning?

The tuning on the new cars is totally controlled by the PCM. There is no way to tune otherwise. A good tune can really unlock your cars potential and it can even improve gas mileage.

throw the "old way" of tuning thought out the window. The computer on board pretty much eliminates it. Custom tunes are the new technology. All computerised.
I have the SCTXcalibrator2 and its easy to use. Had a VMP tune til I went Xcharger now I have 2 bama chips tunes...loaded them myself I might add,,and my RC (resistance to Change) factor is high.
Tuners and tunes are a must to get the most out of your engine,,,even changes the speedometer if you change rear axle ratios

Is there actually a manufacturer out there that provides a tune to increase economy? All the ones I've seen increase HP and Torque. Love to find one to increase economy! 40k+ miles year!

if your lookin for a tuner id go with some kind of sct tuner. i personally have the sct livewire. if youve got the money look it up, i have some pics on file. its way more than just a tuner too. the new xcal3 just came out and ive heard nothing but good news from it. the xcal 2 is now a little cheaper. so depending on how much you want to spend, im convinced theyre all a good choice. look up bama if you want a specific tune, theyll get you set up and running pretty fast too. its my next upgrade.

VMP can provide a mileage tune for you. Since you already replaced the muffler and have a CAI, I bet if you just went back to a 87 tune, you would have more power and more mpg than stock
