You may want to check this site for sound clips, Flowmaster is louder than some and depending on which line some are not stainless steel if that matters to you. Others have complained of drone at cruising RPM's so that could get annoying.
I would up going with The JBA evol, probably the quietest of the popular V6 replacements, nice quality, easy install. It was what I was looking for-a little louder at idle and cruising but nice sound to it when you give it some gas.
Summit will match autoanything.com's price of $182.

A lot of people like a simple idea; just a bit of increase in volume and grunt while increasing performance. If this is the case, I really recommend buying yourself a set of GT take-off mufflers. The sound, look and performance are unmatched for the price. (~$70 for both mufflers) Furthermore, you can choose to replace only the drivers side, or upgrade to dual exhaust if you choose (since they come with both).
Listen to a few sound clips more of the American Thunder though, its a great piece. Think about it; Flowmasters on a Mustang, you can't go wrong!

I can vouch for the American Thunders also. Great sounding exhausts, although I do have the dual setup, Im know the single sounds just as great.

And sounds GREAT! Took me an hour and a half with a couple of breaks. Was a little tough reaching all the bolts, and took awhile to unscrew and screw back. Over all it went well. Everything lined up right on the 1st try. Some people complain about a drone sound. When accelerating, it has a deep purr to it. At cruising speed, between 65 and 75, it sounds no different to me than the stock muffler. Its exactly the sound I was hopeing for. I just turned 50, and I'm not into the high speed, high performance thing. I bought the V6 because its what I wanted and am very happy with it and the new purr the Flowmaster American Thunder makes!

I agree with Black Pony. For the price of GT Take offs it's hard to beat. I had a JBA evol single exhaust and converted to dual GT Take offs. There is no comparison.
sixer owners shouldn't even question an axle back change. Have you seen dyno figures for getting rid of the stock setup and even putting a GT one on? It's anywhere from 7-10WHP and you get better mpg.
If you can't decide on sound, get a gt takeoff for $50-$75 while deciding
