Hey,
So I plan on wasting my tax return on a CAI, and tune. That said I really dont have a clue which to purchase. If you guys could tell me how your Cai perform, that would be cool. For now I have my eyes on this one: Moss Mustang Store - Parts and Accessories for your Ford Mustang
The V6 version is $369, I think its the most expensive on the site for a V6. Also how much is a good tuner gonna cost me?

Ok...so we have the: C&L 05-08 V6 MUSTANG AIR INTAKE & XCAL 2 PACKAGE for $599
or 05-08 Mustang V6 JLT Intake and Xcalibrator COMBO for $549
or 05-08 Mustang V6 C&L Intake and Xcalibrator 3 COMBO
$625.00
now that my search is narrowed down, which will I benefit from the most?

Honestly, i regret buying my cold air intake, my headers, everything, i wish i would of saved up all the money so i could have gotten a turbo earlier, now im just getting it this week, in my experience and intake doesn't do much, even with 93 octane, it does alot on a GT but i've tried two intakes and neither did much of anything. I think a tuner is worth the money but if you really just want big power... save up, it is DEFINETLY worth it

FordMustang06V6 I seem to be in your same situation. I have a 2006 4.0L v6 stock mustang and it needs more power. Which cold air intake do yall think is better?: A STEEDA Mustang Cold Air intake for 260$ from americanmuscle.com or a JLT Performance sold air intake for 210$ from americanmuscle?
definetly NOT steeda, if you really want it PM me because i took it out of my car, i talked to ford06 on AIM and now he seems to be going the turbo route, if you want you can IM me as well, honestly a cold air intake is a waste on the v6 unless you arent looking for big power in the end.

The v6 mustang can do pretty well with a cam job, intake/tune, UDP's, exhaust and a set of gears, however 'm not going to get into the v6/FI v6/GT debate - i'm sick enough of that as it is.
If you're going with an intake/tuner combo, I recommend the Tunable Inductions intake/tuner combo. It is offered at tunableinduction.com for $499 including the full intake (tubing, filter, heat shield) and tuner with 87, 89, 91/93 tunes for your new intake. You can purchase additional tunes from Bamachips.com for $75 each or $150 for 3 later on if you want even more power.

Get a Bama Chips combo and be done with it. If you really want tons of horsepower and torque, get a V8. I've modded out my V6 and it still feels a little sluggish. I'd sell the car but it was a gift and a second car so, I have put things in perspective and just enjoy the car for what it is - a nice V6 that has a little punch and gets decent gas milage. Good luck.
I just ordered the CL/ sctxcal 3 combo from evolution performance for 587$ (including shipping). not bad of a price and it included the xcal 3 insted of xcal 2
