Hey guys I just thought i'd throw out there that I finally got around to changing the rear bushing on my Hurst Comp/Plus to the factory bushing. Didn't even have to remove the entire shifter to swap bushings, just the 2 rear nuts. No more garbage sound coming out of the tranny area in 3rd gear anymore. I confirmed it with a nice little romp around the neighborhood.
Out of the corner of my eye I could see my brother look over at me as I unexpectedly power shifted into 2nd at 5,500 RPM's. Then we almost had a ****-fit of laughter as I missed 3rd gear!

i dont know about this reusing the stock rear bushing to eliminate the rattle guys. i put my stock rear bushing in awhile ago and still get the rattle. now what? if you hold the stick it goes away. im thinking maybe the stick has a resonance to it and to use some dynamat type stuff. anybody notice the stock stick has a rubber thingey at the the base? hmm
