Default 2008 Mustang V6...Buzzing dash at only 1500 miles!

Guys,

I,ve had my 2008 V6 for about two weeks now and my dash (area) is constantly buzzing already. I've only got 1500 miles on it, and it's loud enough to hear over my radio. Any suggestions on a fix would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

mine does it over rough roads and has since I bought it. If it bothers you that much then take it back to the dealer and hav'em find the rattle.

Also, lift up on the dash just above either speedo or tach when it buzzes and see if this solves the prob. If it does, then place a rubber piece to create the pressure and it may halt it. Warmer weather may help it too. My rattles more below 40 than above.

Unfortunately, this, along with eating tires/brakes/clutches, is a symptom of high hp/stiff suspension cars (Your v6 is pretty much identical to the GTs) especially ones for less than $50k. My sister's 06 350z rattles as did my 97 Cobra AND my 00 BMW 540i AND my 93 RX7 R2. Probably not what you wanted to hear but that's the fact of life in the fast lane

Add in the Shakker 1000 audio system and crank it up!!! you'll never hear the dash rattle again. or anything for that matter

A-pillar covers also have a tendency to rattle.

Yeah, buy the two 10's for around $1200 instead of buying a better system that are 12's and for a less price...

I went to Lowes and bought 1/4 (outer diameter) inch plastic tubing in the plumbing section. It was about .16 cents per foot I think. I cut a peice about 18 inches long and shoved it between the dash and the windshield about 1 inch from the "A" piller on the left side.

Rattle / buzzing is gone and you can't see it at all! Hope this works for someone else.

I have an 05 Mustang and have the same problem. It started of as a litle buzing sound and now it's so bad that I can't stand it. I wish I had brought it in under waranty.

I also have an 08 with 11000mi. on it and the same issues. I swear the rattles move around from day to day. There is one that is always rattling and getting louder. It is in the part of the dash that covers the gauges. Im having it looked at by the dealer next week while they do my service. I think this is just a fact of life with these cars. The guys at ford know this and that is why the 2010 has a one piece dash made with a softer plastic. (doesnt look as retro cool though)
