Wednesday evening I was out in my car and I ran over a speed bump in a parking lot a little too quickly and the knocked the ground a little. Not overly hard. I don't know if that's the cause of the problem but a few minutes later I noticed the airbag light blinking for a second here and there, more and more frequently until it came on solid. At an intersection I restarted and it went away then came back a few minutes later. I restarted 2 more times with the same result. Yesterday I drove all day without it coming on and then late last night driving home it came on again. Drove it this morning and nothing.
Any idea what this would be? My Hypertech isn't reading an error code. Did I just knock a sensor loose or something? I can bring it to the dealer if need be but that's time ouf of my day...

I would just call your dealer and see if they know and if not i would just take it in, it can;t be anything that would take more then an hour, i had the same crap happen to me with other electronic stuff in the car where turning it off and turning it back on fixes the problem temporarily, it eventually caused some other problems because i hadn't gotten it fixed

Dam, when I bought my car within the first week I had the same problem....air bag light stayed on, so I took it to the dealer, it was a mess worst experience ever. First I went to where I bought it (Torrance, 40 miles from where I live) there they looked it over and told me that they needed a Ford certified mechanic (I dont know what that means) so he sends me home (that way I can leave the car at a closer dealership and I wont be far from home) (that mechanic got in trouble for that). Then I take it to Hollywood Ford (7 miles from my house) There I left it for about a week I think. They fixed it, but wow what a hassle.

There is a sensor under the passenger seat to measure the weight of what's sitting in the seat. That's how it knows to deploy at half speed, full speed, or not at all. Sounds like it got knocked loose or misadjusted.
When mine started getting flaky I took it to the dealer for warranty work and it took them about 5min to fix it so it can't be too tough.
