Question Anyone install American Racing 200S wheels? Rear space help needed!

I really like the Old School look of the 200S wheels and have my heart set on a set!

American Racing seems to be a little off the beaten path for retail sales outlets...any find a knowledgeable dealer?

So the question is sizing for caliper clearance etc...

I would like a wide (9.5 or 10" rear) "Staggered"17" but would go with a 18" if necessary ....I would do a brake change for a 17" option....

Now the deep dish would be GREAT if I could get that sort of offset with an 18" size.....but they do not look available from American Racing

Ideas anyone???

Thanks!

Stlwagon,

What backspacing do we need for the S197? A whole variety of choices (4.5" bolt spacing too, right?).

Does the backspacing change whether 8", 9", or 10" wide rim?

thanks
SOHC

Thanks stlwagon!

SOHC has my next question...how does back spacing change? is/since(?) back spacing measured from the wheel centerline...one must adjust or hit the wheel well?

Best regards,

Jim
