Help me Change my Battery, 2006 Mustang V6

I am looking to upgrade to an Optima Battery for my 2006 V6. Is there anything I need to know when I actually go in to change it? I would hate to trigger a dash panel warning light that would require my dealer to remedy.

Also, Optima Red top or Yellow? She sits in storage several months out of the year...

A yellow top is better if it's going to sit for extended periods.

I dropped a red top in my car. It fit fine and the car started right up. No issues.

I have an older red top in mine had to mess around with the extra battery holders it came with but its fine, tight as hell. Did a lot of stereo stuff with it. Really if you are doing a very large stereo other then the sony stuff you have go with yellow if not red is good. But if your car sit's in storage for months on end really you should be taking the battery out and spark plugs and doing all that stuff.... but who really does that anymore right?
