A CAI won't void your warranty (it has to be the thing that caused a problem) and all will get you better HP than stock. Mostly it removes air silencers, and increases airflow. If you're on a budget, I would go with the cheapest one, but if you can get a metal one, they're are better looking (my opinion) and usually are better because the ABS plastic holds in heat..

i would go with a JLT intake they cost just alittle more but they are made more mainly mustangs and they are proven to put out some of the best bang for buck i have one and it beat my BBK intake with a stick

Either the JLT or the C&L would be a good choice.

A CAI won't require a tuner. It is also better to get a plastic tube rather than the metal one. Metal is a conductor of heat which means it will heat up faster.

you should have a tuner if your going to get a CAI, without it you run the risk of damaging your engine by running too lean

Not really... I've run both metal and plastic with no noticeable difference in IATs.

right now i have an AEM Brute Force intake and i love it, looks awesome and works good too, noticable difference, plus when u get on the gas u can really hear that thing suck in air, sounds mean!!
i play on getting a tuner too, the best one that ive seem on the internet is probably the diablosport predator
heard nothing but good things about them, and if u want too u can always return to stock with it

I'd recommend an SCT tuner (Xcal2 or X3)

That is not true. The Steeda V6 CAI reuses the stock air tube.

the steeda Cold Air Intake for the v6 blows, i took it out, if you want it you can have it, jus PM me lol, i would recommend either Powerhouse or JLT, Steeda makes good stuff but that v6 intake sucksssssssss, i think it might have given me 1-2 hp, lmao

I was in a similar situation as you are now. I replaced my 06' V6 stock intake w/ a AEM Brute Force Cold Air Intake and it helped my car breathe better and also increased the throttle response. I chose the AEM Intake because it doesn't require a tune, and is CA smog legal. You can add a tune and exhaust down the road and it will help the performance even more. I am selling my Mustang so if your interested, I can sell my intake for $175.00 It has less than 1,000 miles of use. I live just over the hill from you in Yorba Linda.
