Sometimes you don't always have the option of going stick shift....

Stick shift is the way to go. my truck is a stick and thank god that motorcycles aren't autos. i love to shift. makes you feel like you are part of the expierence and not just a passenger. now my wife on the other hand. if she presses the skinny pedal and it doesn't move then something is wrong, no interaction with her vehicle.

Though I Drive An Auto I Admit I Do Preffere Stick But as We Got A Sweet Deal On Our 08 I Had To Take The Auto....But All This being Said...I Heard The Auto Can put up With A lil More POwer and abuse Than The 5spd...Is That True?

+1 to the first part
-1 to the second part

it doesn't slow you down at all. my best 1/8th mile time was from me shifting it manually.

yeah the v6 auto is the same auto that goes in the gts (with a different bellhousing of course) but the gts have a far stronger manual. if you ever get forced induction it's much more costly on a manual.

"just be careful, my friend used to do it in her pontiac, went from 3rd missed D and Nuetral, and guess what, hit reverse by accident doing 60...OOOPS good bye tranny..."

That's why I bought a slap shifter
