I went out to start the stang this morning and turned the key then it just started making these loud clicking noises, the lights go on & off, and the mph tach goes bellow zero. The same thing happend after i installed the shortthrow shifter but it went away. this time it wont go away, i just unplugged the wires from the battery what else can i do?

i dont know if it the battery or security or what but it might be because of all the damn rain weve had leaking onto the box thing.

anyone, please help i have to go to work in 2 hours

It sounds like a bad battery or something try charging the battery up. and then if it starts let the car run for awhile.

So you do have the passenger-side leaking problem?

it doesn't sound like a dead or weak battery to me. maybe try and finding a short somewhere that maybe water got into like STL said. Check under the hood and make sure all the wires are connect and checking the fuses couldn't hurt (though it might not be relevant)

it worked with a jump but i am going to scedual my 3rd appointment for the water leaking problem next week

It could be any number of things... First start with the battery... check if you have any voltage.... If you do it could just be a loose or bad connection somewhere.. or a fuse could be blown somewhere.. Its not the starter cuz you said you heard a clicking noise( I believe the starter makes the clikcing noise?)

Have the alternator checked to see if it's charging properly.
