Default Anyone done a 4.0 vortech install?

I am interested in trying to save some dough and do the instal myself, but I am at best a shade tree mechanic. I have changed intake manifolds/heads ext in my time, but never done anything to a car that had a couputer. Should I be worried, or is it as easy as the instructions lead me to believe?

I haven't seen the instructions for the Vortech, but the Explorer Express (X-Charger) has very straightforward instructions. Its based on an Eaton unit and designed for the 4.0L motor. Its pretty reliable from what I hear, but i've only heard good things about the Vortech as well.

Are you looking at the intercooled version? I think the only tricky part of installing the standard unit is tapping the oil pan. That scares me, which is one of the reasons I am going with the X-Charger. It is supposed to be a relatively easy install. Lots of "shade-tree" mechanics have done it themselves and say it is pretty easy.
