Default Taking the Plunge and Lowering my V6

So I've been thinking of lowering my 2005 v6 Mustang. I'm looking at the Eibach Pro Series to make this happen.
So my questions are this:

Do you need to purchase the Caster Camber Plates? Maximum Motorsports Caster/Camber Plates (2005+)

Once I get these installed my assumption is I'll need an Alignment is that correct? my assumptions are that I can do this with out buying the Caster Camber Plates.

Finally I have the stock 16" wheels, the ones with the fake spinners... Anyhow does anyone have photo's of their car with the stock rim's/tires and lowered?

Thanks

Chip

Hey man I'm planning on doing the same thing. From my understanding you don't need those plates, there's no mention of them being needed on the Eibach website.

You're correct in assuming you need an alignment after doing any suspension work.

The car doesn't look a lot different after the drop, just mostly leveled out.

There are also adjustable camber bolts you can get. I didn't get them when I put my vogtlands on, because the guy at the ford shop said he could align them without them. What he didn't tell me was that he would spend 2 hours reaming out the holes to get the regular bolts to fit, which we was kind enough to bill me for.

If you don't want to spring for the camber plates, at least look for some adjustable camber bolts.

There is no camber adjsutment on these cars. While some are more forgiving than others, most will need the bolts or plates to get some positive camber back.

I lowered my Mustang w/ Vogsland springs and installed camber bolts but I'm experiencing excessive wear on the inside section of both front tires. I was told by the installer of the springs and shocks that my car needs an alignment. I don't get it. The car was just aligned 2,000 miles ago. Is this normal?

Did you align the car after you installed the springs?

Were the camber #s within OEM specs after the alignment?

No problem... Have you considered going to camber plates?

I installed camber brackets. I think they'll do the job. I'm just thinking that the car's camber angle/setting needs to be looked at. I say that because the passenger tire has more wear than the driver's.

So much for just changing the springs and having a lowered vehicle for not a heck of a lot of money.

Thanks again for the specs. I gave them to my alignment guy and he's made all of the required camber adjustments. Now the car is properly aligned and the tires have been rotated. All is well and thanks to those that helped.
