if you are just putting in a K&N filter nothing is required. However if you are putting in the K&N CAI system a new tune would show greater increase in performance. A performance tune, many varieties, will help. The problem is you need a tuner to do that. So,,,let the journey begin.

Usualy aSystem like the K&N would include a tune and tuner along with the new airbox and maybe an inlet tube to make it complete.

With just the K&N CAI kit you'll gain minimal performance as with a tuner you will really feel the difference. I recommned getting a tune with the CAI kit if you want to maximize the performance of the CAI.

If you want the most performance out of it, go with a C&L CAI and tuner combo. it will run you about 600+ buckw but you get around 30 HP and increased mileage too

K&N is a good brand but as for the most HP gain JLT and C&L are the way to go

yes i agree, not only that but you can actually find C&L CAi/tuner kits for less than 600. try evolutionperformance.com or ebay. And actually i heard tht even with a KN CAI you don't necessarily need a tune? correct me if im wrong but also i heard S&B is a pretty good CAI to get for the mustangs that doesnt require a tune as well
