I ran across the Squires Turbo a few days ago, and was intrigued. Do you have any idea how much it costs? It's got to be a pain in the ass to install yourself.

As far as gains are concerned, I'm just looking to push over 300 total hp. Anything above that is cake. I don't race, or go to the track, and most of my driving is in the city. I just want to have fun on the weekends, and destroy anyone who challenges me.

The more I look at the Squires system, the more I like it. Squires has a video of the system from a TV show install on their site. I ran across a company selling it for the V6. It is about $4,500 for 5psi, and $5,000 for 9psi. So it is in line with other systems, but offers a hell of a lot more than other turbos. Rear wheel hp is supposed to be 313 with the 9psi ... nice.

i thought i wanted the STS turbo as well but i went with powerhouse, STS claims all these benefits with rear mounted turbos but honestly, if they were all that great, why does almost nobody use them? As for the install, they brag about an easy install, i think i got qouted $1300 for it and $2100 for the one im putting in, i was able to get the STS for $4499 with a contact i had but i went with the $5200 powerhouse turbo, i just dont like the idea of my turbo being exposed to the elements and that any joe can get under my car and hack saw off my turbo

So far the only concern I have is the theft. I live in the car theft capital of the US, Las Vegas. The elements aren't an issue here since half the year is 50-70 degrees, and the other is 95-120.

I would assume that not everyone is using the remote mount because it's still new. No one knows much about it, and that makes them nervous.

How do you like the Powerhouse? Any idea what rwhp you're getting, and is there lag?

Speaking of the STS Turbos. I saw where they were selling for as low as $3850 shipped for the 5psi kit and $4300 shipped for the 9psi Intercooled kits.

Supernatural Performance STS Turbo Group Buy (V6 & V8)

caseythehost said that anything over 300rwhp would be cake. STS claims 313rwhp with the 9psi intercooled kit. As low as $4300 to your door is pretty cheap and it looks like the same company hosting the sale that caseythehost said he first found the STS v6 kits from.

Thanks for the info. I'm now deciding between three different systems. One is the STS, the other is the intercooled X-Charger when it comes out, and the third is the twin turbo system for the V6 from turbochargedpower.com that will be out this summer. Once the other two systems are out I will weigh the cost/benefit/performance to make up my mind. I should say that I've been on a few other mustang boards and they love the STS.

Decisions ... Decisions ...

What about the Paxton Supercharger that Shelby uses in their CS6. It looks absolutely spectacular and it is decently priced. Thats the one I am leaning torwards. Go to Shelby performance website!

hmmmmm... someone that sells superchargers writes an article that says superchargers are the way to go... and you are surprised the article didn't say rush out and buy a turbo?

With a properly designed turbo system (with the right size turbo) there is NO LAG...

Also, Kenne Bell doesn't make a kit for the 4.0L... so the real choices are a centrifugal supercharger (intercooled or non-intercooled), Explorer Express non-intercooled Eaton Mp90 or an intercooled PH turbo....

Well good news and bad news, the good news is... im saving some money on my turbo, the bad news is... im saving money because i complained on how long its taking to get my turbo, mike said it would ship friday.... it didnt.... he said it would ship yesterday.... it didnt..... and today he said its gonna ship today but i dont see any tracking e-mail like he said their would be.... so after 2 months and 8 days im getting alittle irritated, this does not reflect the company as a whole though, my CAI from them took 4 days to get here which was great and mikes been very polite despite me calling once or twice a week for the past 8 weeks but like i said im just getting irritated, i just want it to get here!
