Does anyone know what the real world horsepower potential of our 4.0's is. By real world, I mean for most of us that want a cool and fast car that we can use as a daily driver, yet smoke some ricers down at the "track" once in a while without blowing our cars up. I know our cars are rated stock from Ford at 210 hp. I've done most of the bolt on's out there to my car and have no idea what I'm making. I've got a CAI, TBS, Underdrive Pulley, Headers, Dual Exhaust, Diablosport Predator Tuner running a 91 octane tune. The biggest bolt on being the supercharger will be coming this summer. Anyone running a similar setup that knows what kind of horses they're making? I'm just wondering if I should keep playing with my 4.0 or step up to the GT. Don't get me wrong, I love my car. Even with all the stuff I've done to it I get 32 mpg on the hwy and 26 mpg mixed hwy/city. You can't beat that with a GT. My biggest worry with my 4.0 is that I'll go nuts one of these days and push it way to hard and wind up picking pieces up off the "track." These are just some of my thoughts and concerns I'm sure many other share. Let's get some advice flowing on this.

Looking at your list I would guess 265-280hp (hard to judge because two identical mustangs with the same parts thrown on them will give different readings). If you go with head and cams from supersix motorsports it'll bump you well over 300 but it'll cost almost as much as throwing a supercharger on it.

32/26 MPG is honda territory..... i have never heard of a S197 getting anywhere near that. the highest i have heard of it approx 28 MPG pure highway. If you truely get mileage around that, then i might not have to buy a honda when gas hits $5 a gallon
is that reading on the computer or after you fill-up and do the math?
