[Stars.Fade]

I noticed on my cluster today, right under my tach, a little up arrow all by itself....never lit up before. Is it a shift light or what!?

i do not know about what arrow you are talking about exactly, maybe a pic could help me because there is no factory shift light to my knowledge.

i don't know but the older 99-04 clusters had some cool hidden stuff going on Mustangworld HEC Instrument Cluster Diagnostics

Well if it lights up as you approach the redline, that's got to be it.

Here is a picture. Notice the unlit arrow RIGHT below the 4 in the TACH. =] WHAT IS IT!!!!!

I noticed that arrow very early in my ownership. In three years of owning the car, I haven't been able to light it up. I've even had the engine wound up pretty high... I wasn't exactly focused on my gauges at that point though. I looked for it in the manual and it's not there, so I'd like to know too.

google "2007 mustang instrument panel" in images...its the picture with a green gauge... right under the 4 is the arrow, next to the TCS symbol

Right under the 4. I noticed also, in a magazine, that it was lit up yellow..so I know it works, but how!?!?!?!

alright, i noticed the arrow that you are talking about, but i have never seen it light up ever before. I have gotten "on it" pretty hard a few times and have not seen it light up. I am going to have to go to my instruction manual in my glove box and see if it tells me what it is.

My car redlines well beyond 6000 rpm and nothing has ever lit up on my dash.

It's not in the manual, I can't find ANYTHING via google, and my engine is mad at me for pushing it so hard and it STILL WON LIGHTUP. All i know is that it lights up yellow :/ Thanks ford

Found it...after days of searching.

In the GT500, you can program shift points via the car, and you can use that light as a warning -_-

yea in the gt500...but how do you get it to work in your car?
