Exclamation 2005 Mustang Convertible V-6 - Clutch problems

Greetings!

I am new here. I have read the threads on Clutch problems with other 2005 models. I just purchased this Mustang as the second owner. The car only had 33,000 miles on it. I have had it for 45 days and now the transmission slips in any gear when accelerating.

I check one of the threads that provided a Clutch Slip Test (rev to 2k and release clutch fairly quickly, with parking brake on). My car did not stall immediately. It labored a bit, but did not die. Does this mean my Clutch is already gone after only 39,000 miles (I've put 6k on it since purchase).
Don't you think the Ford warranty should cover the replacement of a clutch that only lasts 39,000 miles?
Do I have any options that you can think of?
Regardless, I have to get it fixed.
It just doesn't seem right that such low miles should result in a blown Clutch. Such is life huh?

Clutch is considered wear and tear item like brake pads, believe that's only 12 months/12,000 miles, check the warranty book in the owners manual.

Being the second owner who knows how well the first driver shifted. I've known people blow who blew clutches in 6 months and also seen some go 10 years (on a Honda...)

Default Discussed Clutch issue with Ford Warranty services

They agree with you. They were very nice but said "I am screwed" to paraphrase. They will have the local dealership manager call me and see if they will be willing to share costs ... but I doubt it. It is all worth a try. I also requested the Ford rep add a Lemon Law entry to my request. Doesn't hurt anything and I need a track record of documentation if this problem persists.

Thx.

Unfortunately I think you're out of luck. You might be better served to upgrade to an aftermarket clutch.
