so today i was leaving scool on my way to work. i started up the car and started driving when i was coming up to a stop sign. i pushed the clutch in and let it idle in neutral, but the thing is tht my idle was over 2k rpm. my little wrech engine light thingy came on and my car ran really bumpy and boggy like it was about to die. i pulled over and popped the hood to find tht everything was sealed and no leaks. my guess is that my 02 sensor maybe falted and ran my car lean on accident? i didnt have my tuner with me at the time to grab the trouble code. what do you guys think? also when i started the car back up again it ran perfectly fine again

My buddy has an 02 roush and he had a similar problem. When he would come to a stop it would idle from 2-3K. It turned out to be his throttle body. Try cleaning your throttle body out. It also could be your idle speed control, they sometimes just crap out. Hope that helps.

Go get that fixed IMMEDIEATLY. I had that problem at around 9,000 miles and just turned off the car and turned it back on and it would come back every now and then and eventually would only go away for about a mile before coming on again. It did end up being my throttle body but it has been blamed on why my engine blew recently on only 8 Pounds of boost, it seems to have caused a small underlying coolant leak that was never diagnosed on an N/A motor.
It doesn't take long to fix and it doesn't cost alot if your not under warranty

I had a similar problem on an ACURA. I dealt with this issue for a year. I turned out to be the Throttle Angle Sensor which is part of the Throttle body. Not saying it is the same on your car but your issue is identical to what I experienced. Hopefully your car is still under warranty. Get it checked out.
The wrench light mean it was something with the throttle... like the throttle body, throttle position sensor, etc. The wrench light means you are also in LIMP mode... which mean really reduced power... turning the car off and restarting clears this... Double check your wiring harness for the TB and TB sensor...

Wrench light comes on for any DTC. If it were in limp mode it would display 'engine failsafe' on the drivers information center.
will warranty cover it if i have my C&L installed? im still under warranty for another 11k miles, but i dont want them to possibly come up with a lame excuse to not fix it or charge me

They will look for every out possible, especially if it's serious. I'd pull the intake and return to your stock tune and bring it in.

Nope... I'm actually SURE on this one! I have plenty experience with the dreaded WRENCH light! LOL! Your are thinking of the CHECK ENGINE LIGHT! It is possible to get a wrench light with no codes... also, what if you don't have a drivers info center? Not all cars have them...
Found this: Manual says: "Illuminates when the engine has defaulted to a "limp-home" operation. Report the fault to a dealer at the earliest opportunity."
Ford had few problems with the TP sensor on the electronic tb's. I think there might be a ssm or tsb.
yep... there was a TSB for the TP sensors... was for cars built before 2005.... My 2005 V6 was built in October 2004 and my TP sensor problem started in August 2005...
As far as the taking the car to the dealership... Wrench lights are tough because you can get a wrench light without getting a code... and once you turn the car off the wrench light clears... I had a second problem with my car throwing Wrench lights... basically had to wait until it threw a code too...
