Default 2007 Mustang Pony Package custom fog lights

I've added fog lights to my mustang in the openings of the lower grill, let me know what you guys think.

I used to have round ones down there but one of them got shattered somehow, I put these rectangular ones in yesterday.

That is pretty awesome! It adds a little something something to the front of the car.

Josh:
What model and where did you get your rectangular fog lights to fill in the holes in our lower grill? Looks great and I would like to do the same. Fit looks very good.

I found them at Auto Zone. They were $20

If you point them forward, they can shoot WAY far out. But on coming traffic doesn't seem to like that too much, haha.

Ive got mine pointing to the same place as the stock fog lights, about 5-6 feet in front of the car

Josh:
Thanks much. They look great to me and definitely fill in 2 ugly voids in the lower grill. Any difficulty in the install? Work on your existing fog light switch? Many Thanks,
John

The hardest part is just removing the plastic peice from the bumper, it takes quite a bit of tugging.

I used a relay and wired it to the running lamps, and then supplyed the power to the lights fromt he big +12V wire that goes into the fuse box. So that way they come on with the running lights. Theres also a separate switch under the hood just in case i need to disable them for some reason.

TIP: Make sure you point the lights forward, and DON'T follow the curve of the bumper... I made that mistake when i was laying everything out. :-)

Bad idea! Not much lighter , especially cheap lights at autoZone. Furthermore, you have to cut low grill. I installed foglights I bought from Hella ( Micro DE, over $100 ). They light OK. After one year I replaced them by foglights GT style with grill. They light much, much brighter. I have to bought a new lower grill because when I installed the Hella lights I had to cut it.

If you have PP foglights, then don't add another foglights at lower grill. If you don't have foglights, then buy GT style foglights with grill. They look better and brighter.

Eh, well I didnt buy them for the light, i bought them for the looks and i live in the city. And i didnt cut anything, the holes where theyre i just happend to stumble on light that were the exact right size at the exact right price.

The pony package lower grill has rectangular cut outs, whereas the regular v6 has that honeycomb stuff.
