Just wondering if I would be able to remove the lower stipe from my car. I like the look of an all black car, but its not like I hate the stripe. And if anyone has a pic of a black pony package with a roush hood scoop, feel free to post. thanks guys

i took my lower stripes off. i used a hair dryer and goo gone. alcohol prep also worked to get the sticky stuff off. took me about 4 hours to do tho, cuz i did it on a very cold day =\



on a warm day it should take wayyyyyyyy less

I have the black pony also, I bought a heat gun from the local nat'l chain auto parts store for about $29 and pulled the stripes off in about an hour. Just heat up about 4' at a time and they just peal off. What a difference, doesn't look like a rental car any more...

A little napthalene or 3M adhesive remover will also clean off any residual goo.

Took mine off in 10 minutes,no heat or anything else other than a fingernail to get it started.

I didn't like mine at first and planned on removing them within the first week, but they grew on me and now stripe-less stangs look too plain.

I think that a set of 10" white racing stripes would go well with the side stripes and really set off the look.

I agree, no stripes look best, and wd40 works wonders on that sticky residue...

question ...does it leave a darker color underneath the stripe after you remove it??
