Default thinking of taking off my cai, 2005 Mustang V6

with the price of gas rising everyday I have been thinking about taking off my cai and returning the car to that factory tune file. so I no longer have to use the premium gas and can just run it on regular. If i want to. do any of you other guys feel this way or am I that only one?

I'm about to switch mine back to an 87 tune as well... Cant decide though as its not my daily driver so gas isn't too big of a deal.

I travel about 400 miles a week at 22mpg. Lets round it to 20 gal of gas a week. Difference between 87 and 93 oct is about 30 cents.
So my answer would be no, for $6 more a week in gas I'll keep my added hp.

You should see around 20 rwhp or so. If you fill it with lower octane you'd risk detonation. I don't think you can get lower than 87 though.

i miss my performance of the 93 octane tune.. it is soo noticable from the 87 tune that ive been using for some time now.. all my friends are convinced 87 on my car is SOO BAD for it. they say my car wont hold up down the road b/c 87 octane is soo "Dirty" lol but 87 still has some balls to it
