It has brackets to fit the 05+ GT (same radiator as V-6) and an adapter for the GT (same oil filter as the V-6.) The hoses should be long enough since the V-6 filter is on the right of the engine. I'm hoping for good results. Anyone else try this?

You've changed your thermostat and fan settings now an oil cooler... You have a problem with high oil temps? Running road course events? (I don't see temp gauges in your sig) Running the oil and engine temp too low will cause other issues. I could understand the quest if you lived in AZ, NM
Lowering IAT's should be your focus with the X

I've run oil coolers in the past and found them good for engine longevity. (68 and 79 Pontiacs.) I restrained myself from going below a 180F thermostat, since I have found a 160 F to be too low in most cars for the street, at least in this climate. I figure the X-Charger is putting a lot more stress on the engine so sooler will be better. Since I'm at low boost (7# or so max.) I don't think water injection will be of any benefit.
I do understand the need for a high enough operating temperature, but I think I will be O.K. The V-6 thermostat wasn't full open until about 220F! The X-charger has an aluminum intake so I think the heat will get into the intake more than with the stock plastic manifold.

I agree, although I'm not expecting miracles. At least the coolant doesn't pass through the intake like in the old days. Or have a heated crossover for a carb!

I installed the kit successfully. There were no big problems, although it is a little harder than the directions make it sound.
It was tough to adequately tighten the "sandwich" adapter, as there is very little room to work a ratchet and hold the adapter from turning. Also, the hoses are very rugged, but for peace of mind I cut up my old radiator hose and tie-wrapped it around the hoses where I thought they might contact the structure.
The hoses, rather than being too short like I expected, were a little long and made it hard to route them without touching stuff.
No leaks so far and is working (hoses are hot.)
