What is the lowest costing turbocharger but one that is still good?

I searched for one a few months ago and only found one company making it and it was ridiculously priced at like $3500 or something and that was WITHOUT the intercooler. I'd just get a $2000 supercharger, if you have the $.

yeah they do sound sweet, but if you want to play you have to pay. for at least $4000 with all the other stuff you'll need to do and get I've already scratched that idea from my list of goodies to get. if I can remeber the name of the company that made it I'll post it.

v6? I don't know how many, if any. I assumed MustangKid9807 had a 5.0L but now that I think of it I shouldn't have assumed that especially since he has 98 and 07 in his name. he would either have a v6 or 4.6L if he owned any cars from those years.

Go with the Powerhouse turbo. Best bang for the buck for the V6.

There are a few turbo kits for the 6, but the STS and Powerhouse are the best at this point because they don't have lag. There are a few people who are down on STS because they don't know anything about the technology, and they think its new. Remote mount turbos are a long tested, tried and true technology that has some advantages over a turbo under the hood. With that said ... Powerhouse makes a nice turbo, and should be seriously considered.

Turbochargedpower.com will have a twin turbo for the 05-08 V6 sometime this summer ... can't wait to see what power they get with it.

If up front cost is your issue ... check out Nevarez Racing Products in Las Vegas, NV. They are the only authorized distributor in the country that will finance the STS system. I don't know if you can finance the Powerhouse or not. So call Nevarez and you might be able to just make payments.

You can drive to Vegas to have it installed, or they can send the system to you to install yourself (not hard), or have a local shop do it. I think it comes with the tune also. When I talked with STS they said they install the 5psi system, and tune it from there. After that you can buy a piece for $60 I think that will bump it all the way up to 12psi, but for a stock 6 they said you should run at 8psi.

Hopefully this will speed up your access to a power adder.
