Exclamation 2007 v6 Mustang Questions..

Alright, i currently have a 07' 4.0L. Mustang.

The questions that i have is this,

-I want to get rid of the Top Speed 113mph, and raise it to 130-140ish
(To keep up with a friends 160+mph car...)

Is the drive shaft problem with the 06' mustangs and fixed on the 07', or do i have to replace it?

-What else should be replaced for these speeds?

Cruising at gov. (113mph) is fine in the car, no odd sounds/ bad vibrations).

Please respond with respectful replies.

Well first off from what I read the stock drive shaft can only handle about 130 mph before it starts to vibrate strongly. I know this because in a nother forum I read a post where the guy removed a governor with an sct tuner and felt a strong vibration at 128 mph. Also, make sure the tires are rated to go to speeds up to 130 mph. If you tires are pirellis check the speed rating to make sure they can handle the speeds. besides the driveshaft and tires those are the only changes that I am aware of unless there are others.

06' Charger R/T Edition. I believe it starts to stop pulling around 158. But we have a few nice straights around here.

I'm pretty sure that's 158mph (158kph would only be about 95mph...).

it must take that thing forever to hit 160mph...if you want to leave no doubt, and/or just embarrass him, put a supercharger or turbo on your car and call it a day lol

ya my grandpa has the daytona charger RT and it governs at 158. but they're not terribly impressive on the acceleration.
