If your talking about Eaton units... the "adapter" would be the intake manifold and snout. The MP112 won't fit on 4.0, it sits too far back and hits the firewall. The MP90 is the unit used in the 4.0 kit. The "adapter" for a centri would be the mounting brackets, piping and hoses. The supercharger unit is universal and selected for the application based on it's specs... the "adapter" is the install kit.
