Default Best Hood Pins

I just ordered a cowl induction hood for my mustang and the next thing I need is hood pins. I like the ones with the wires running down to the engine compartment. Anyone know some good brands or sites that I could go to to pick a set up? I seen the ones that require no drilling and just stick on. How well do those hold up? Are the ones that require drilling the better way to go?

Default Hood pins

Isnt the purpose of hoodpins to keep your fiberglass hood more secure to your car while going faster? I would just guess that the stick on ones are not going to do much as for holding your hood down much. But im also new to all this mod stuff and i could be wrong. I am just going with a gut feeling on that one. I myself and looking for a good set as well, i want to go with the wireless ones. I know with my luck some going to pull them out and try to steal them, and or scratch up my car. But i do like the look of the wire looping to underneath your hood.

Go with the real deal. I have the Shelby hood pins and love them. You can have them installed when you have the hood painted for a nice, professional look.

OK, so I've added a few things to it. Check my Profile - too many to list here.

The Stick on hood pins are more for us guys with stock hoods who just want to go for the look of hood pins. They will do absolutely nothing to actually hold the hood in place. If you have an after market hood youll want a real set of hood pins. Itd be a shame to spend all that money on a fancy hood only to have it come flying off down the highway. The Shelby pins are a nice set and are a breeze to install yourself. Just remember... measure 10 times... drill once!

well i found out today after my hood was delivered that i dont even need hood pins after all. It uses the original factory latch and I called the guy from the company to make sure. Id rather save the extra 40 bucks then put then on if i dont need them.
