Default Tuner compatibility question

Was wondering if a Xcal2 tuner that had been used on a 04 cobra would work on my 07 V6??

Thanks

i would just plug it in and see if it recognizes ur car when u plug it in. it might if it was made in 2007, or is updated i know some tuners are compatible with more than one kind of car. make sure the 04 cobra is back to stock before u try though.

can't do that, guys selling it on ebay and I was thinking about buying it.

He says the cobras back to stock and he thinks it will work with mine but isn't sure. I tried the manufactures website but couldn't find anything.

So in a last ditch effort I thought I would tap the wonderful supply of limitless knowledge you folks have here

Thanks for the reply though.

There was a PCM change in 2007 so if it's an older SCT it may not work. I would ask for the ser# then call SCT and ask them if there will be a problem.

What are you planning to do for tunes? Order from Justin, Brent or Doug?

Thanks, I'll do that. Really appreciate the advice.

As for tunes I'll probally get a tourqe tune from bama tunes, so I can carry my car down there and let them show me what I'm doing since I've never used a tuner before (only live about 40 miles from them).

Thanks again
