If you're on a tight budget and want a better sound with improved exhaust performance, you can go with a performance axle-back exhaust upgrade. Check out this one from Pypes, it's probably the best deal $ for $ Pypes 409 Stainless Steel Street-Pro Axle-Back with Polished 304 Tip (2005+ V6) at AmericanMuscle.com - Free Shipping!

I've got three words for you: Flowmaster American Thunder.

They're only like $180 as opposed to some of the more expensive mufflers or exhaust systems which rank in between $200 and $600. I promise you'll like the sound and you can install it yourself for free if you've got a few hand tools.

Other than that, search the forums for sound clips and try places like youtube, there are a lot of sound clips on there too.

My Magna Flow Sound Nice. Loud on the Outside, but not deafening inside. You can pay a little more and dual it up for a loud roar. And ad some headers for more sound.

Least expensive 1-hour exhaust mod for a V6 is the Ordinary Everyday GT takeoff muffler. Not as noisy as some, no drone, much, much better than the stock V6 muffler. Sounds pretty good, too:

single GT takeoff muffler road test

single GT takeoff muffler dyno test
