Cool V6 Owner needing help!

Hi guys im new to this forum but it looks like the best place to be and ask questions about v6 mustangs!

Well im going to sell a street bike of mine and i should have around 2-4 grand to spend on my car and i could use some advice if possible.

I wanna get the deepest closest exhaust sound to a v8 from my v6. I know its impossible to get the exact noise but any suggestions on some dual exhausts?

Any other suggestions? I want the best of bestcuz i really wanna throw some $$$ into this car so i can make it into a v8 Killer!

Cold air intake
Throttle body spacer
chips
anything!?

Thx guys!

If you want the simplest and safest way to beat v8's with your v6 then have a supercharger installed. They're not 100% safe (as with any forced induction) but there's a lot more guys blowing up their motors with turbos than superchargers. You'll also want to install a limited slip differential in your rear end and probably some taller gears (3.73s or 4.10's). Headers will give you even more balls with the supercharger.

Then there's always a head/cam job which will give you some pretty awesome power as well, but its going to cost you probably your whole $4,000 and a supercharger would give you more 'go.'

Juice or forced induction is definatly the way to go for some big gains with minimal headaches. I prefer N/A, but on the little V6, it needs a lot of work before its respectably fast N/A.

As far as exhuast, from my experience, single port cars sound more like V8's when they have duals than the split port cars. My 94 had a steeda adapter pipe with a stock GT cat-back and it sounded more like a V8 than my 01, which has a steeda adapter mid-pipe with a Summit cat-back for GT's. The 4.0's I'm not too sure of though...

Or you could just put a V8 in one.

The FRPP GTA dual exhaust kit sounds the closest to a V8 sound. That's around $5-600. JBA headers, custom tune to pull every single little horsie out of it, JLT or MMR intake, there's some other intakes out there but it's usually personal preference. Check out supersixmotorsports.com. They've got a great head and cam combo. The 4.0's can really scream if they are tuned right. 3.73 gears would be a good bet too. keeping with stock 17" wheels would help too. Going any bigger with wheels is just like putting a taller gear ratio in the rear end. There are endless choices to be had, these are a few of the N/A choices that I'm considering.
