i recently saw this test on horsepower tv with the e3 spark plugs and on the same engine it netted more power and efficiency. has anybody tried these plugs or other plugs and noticed any difference? also how about performance wires and even a performance coil??? is any of this worth doing???

i went with JBA Performance Wires, and I'm hearing a weird whiny noise(no, not like a supercharger), and it's not gear whine either. I dunno. Looks cool, though.

if your hearing it thru your radio or whatever the wires are probably not suppressed.

I ran the e3 plugs in my 3.0L Ford Ranger truck and was very happy, so when I bought my 2007 Mustang I pulled the stock plugs and put the e3 plugs in. The car runs great, never misses and likes 89 octane as that seems to give it a kick in the pants. I am getting ready to buy a SCT Tuner and I am sure that will make more improvements. I have not had a problem with the plugs even on 87 octane. No CEC lights or pings or any other anomolies. So I am happy, but every one seems to have a favorite spark plug, since you asked about the e3's I figured I would let you know how mine is running with them.
Well I got the Bosch Platinum 4+ spark plugs this Sunday. The first thing I noticed is the car feels like it is running smoother. Can't yet say about performance gains, though I don't expect to. Even if the car gained a HP or two I am pretty sure I won't feel it.
The MPG of my car seemed to increase by 1 mpg but I cannot say with any confidence yet. My mpg was 14.7 (with average speed of 18-20) with lets say a medium foot (most of the time it is light but there are two places where I need to be really heavy to get onto the road).

Back in 1990, I had a 1970 Torino GT Sportsroof with the 351C 4bbl. This motor was stock w/ the 11:1 comp ratio. It also had 86k miles on it, which was past the lifespan of a high compression motor back then.
The valve guides were shot on this particular car so my plugs would foul every couple of weeks.
Splitfire plugs had just come out and got the idea that maybe with more surface area, they might not foul as fast.
I tried them and sure enough, they lasted almost 3 times as long as normal plugs before fouling.
That is the only time I've ever noticed any difference in a sparkplug.
However, I do exclusively use NGK V-Grooves because I've heard nothing but good things about them and they are relatively cheap.
Well for me it was. I noticed a difference. Maybe it was all in my head. But for me, the car did ran smoother and it accelerated smoother. And so far I think I gained a mpg. Will know better by the end of the week.
I put the Bosch +4s in my truck. They were good for about 3,000 miles. I won't ever buy another Bosch plug. I have been looking at the e3 plugs myself. Will prob. give them a try in the mustang.

Platinum plugs usually last 100k+ .... If you are using crappy gas, they will last you less. I've been using Bosch Platinum +4's for the past year. They are great. Improved my gas mileage and gave me extra spark for all that torque that I love to show the ladies.
