I like 'em all. They look good because the cars look good. There's no really bad-looking wheel when it's on a Mustang. Well, maybe a couple, but make your choice and ignore the nay-sayers.
My view is that the wheel-tire combo that matches original equipment revolutions per mile is a little small for the S197. 27.2 inches, approximate diameter; with a 1-inch drop, they look OK, but a tire bigger by an inch would "fill the well" better, I think. Then you have gearing problems.
The 17-inch Bullitts are easy to find and not very expensive, compared to others.
There are 18-inch wheels in plenty of designs and widths, and an extensive selection of 18-inch tire sizes and shapes. If I were to start over, and could only have one set of wheels, I'd go for 18x9 or 18x9.5 rims in a lighter version than the 27-pound 18x8.5 "Fanblades" I got from Tire Rack (on sale at $125 each). Lighter wheels are better for performance, and may be worth the extra cost. Steeda has some "Ultralite" 18x9s on sale at $180, 24.4 pounds, they tell me. They don't seem to me to be all that good-looking, but I'm always saying, "I can't see them when I'm driving, and driving is what's important with cars, right?"
Many people will tell you 18-inch wheels are perfect for the Mustang. They may be right, but I say it depends. Nineteen-inch rims, although less popular in the availability sense, look good in some situations. Like the 20-inchers, too much shiny metal may make them seem too big.
Any road, the only one you have to please is yourself. There's no hurry; do your research, make your choice, be satisfied.
