from what ive read throttle body spacers do nothing for our cars. everybody who bought one says they are worthless.

Oh really I thought that paint job would add at least another 30-40 horsepower.

Yeah throttle body spacers really don't do anything, except that they make a whistle sound.

Default Spacers

I think spacers arose from the carbureted days. Back then you could add a spacer to shift your torque curve or increase plenum volume. Turbulence was also a benefit then to ensure proper fuel-air mixing. With our fuel injection, I don't think a dinky spacer is going to add enough runner length to shift the torque curve down. Nor do I think turbulence is of any value up at the throttle body, since injection is right down by the intake valves. I think they are selling them now without a lot (or any) of proof they do anything.

Throttle body spacers have been proven time and time again to be completely ineffective on our cars.

Try adding a cai/tune, aftermarket exhaust, gears/posi, underdrive pulleys or forced induction (supercharger, turbo, or nitrous) to give your gal more go!

And it sounds nothing like a supercharger whine.
